A Bridge too far?

This is the Aberglaslyn bridge at Nantmor. It carries the A4085 over the river Glaslyn and I took our French journalists to see it on our way back to Manchester Airport.
Upstream of this bridge is a magnificent run of water torrent through rocks-completely impassable by river transport
Downstream of the bridge is a navigable river and, before the Portmadog cob was built, this river was used to transport slate across the estuary of the Glaslyn river and down to the sea.
